Iatrogenic Bile Duct Injuries: An Overview and A Review of Literature

Abstract ​ Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) is one of the most frequently performed surgical procedures worldwide. Iatrogenic bile duct injury (IBDI) a serious complication LC and has an incidence 0.3 to 0.7%. Since it associated with significant potentially lifelong morbidity as well mortality, diagnosing IBDI early possible paramount importance. Management injuries prognosis their repair depend on timing its recognition, type extent injury. In this paper, we present case attempt discuss all dimensions.
